Toolkits
The Immunization Coalitions Technical Assistance Network (IZTA) developed the following toolkits to support coalitions and other organizations in planning community events and in reaching out to potential partners:
IZTA Event Planning Toolkit
This planning toolkit was designed to assist immunization coalitions and other organizations to plan, publicize, and execute community events to promote immunizations or to increase the visibility of their programs in the community.
Included in this toolkit are event ideas and step-by-step tips for planning and executing successful immunization events, whether it is a health fair, a flu clinic, or a walk-a-thon.
Expanding Your Reach: Working with New Partners
This toolkit was developed to support immunization coalition members and leaders in expanding their reach and resources through partnerships with non-immunization groups. Included in this toolkit are practical tools and tips for the following five steps of the partnership process:
- Getting your coalition ready
- Identifying partners
- Approaching potential partners
- Working with partners
- Assessing and strengthening your partnership
In addition, this toolkit includes four brief case studies of successful partnerships that IZTA members have engaged in and a resource section with an annotated list of Web sites, tools, and other materials.
